A 7-year-old boy who was shot in the leg has a very important wish that he hopes Santa can help fulfill.

Now that Thanksgiving is over, Christmas is officially upon us. Although, many children have probably had their wish-lists prepared since before Halloween.

One seven-year-old from Salford, UK wrote a very heart-wrenching letter to Santa this year that was recently shared online by the Greater Manchester Police.

Christian Hickey and his mother, Jayne, were recently victims of an attack at their home during which they both suffered from gunshot wounds. They answered their door for two men who rushed inside and opened fire.

Since the incident, Christian has prepared a Christmas list that includes "help the police catch the people who hurt me" as his number one request followed by "Match attack cards" and a remote control helicopter among several other toys and gadgets any seven-year-old would want.

“What happened to Christian will stay with him for the rest of his life but what we can do is try to make this up to him by finding those responsible and bringing them to justice," Greater Manchester Police wrote on Facebook.

"These people have absolutely no place in civilized society and we remain as determined as ever to find them," he added. "We are continuing to appeal for information and I would like to urge anybody who may know something to please get in touch.”

Hopefully the police and anyone who might have information will be able to join forces to get justice for Christian and his mother.
