Martha Raddatz from ABC News gained widespread praise for her role as a moderator in the vice presidential debate that took place between Vice President Joe Biden and Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan.

Despite all the charges of favoritism and bias she received from the conservative outlets, Raddatz proved herself an active and energetic moderator unlike Jim Lehrer who lost control during the debate the first presidential debate and was greatly panned.

At times during the debate it looked as if Martha was the third debater. Martha is an experienced ABC News war correspondent who kept both the candidates countering each other perfectly in line as they discussed foreign issues.
She pushed the candidates to give firm answers with specifics and concrete facts rather than hyperbole. So much was her control during the debate that when Joe Biden said Paul Ryan was just saying "a bunch of stuff." Raddatz immediately turned around and asked Biden, "What does that mean, 'a bunch of stuff?'"
Speaking to Ryan about Mitt Romney's response to the attacks, she asked, "Was that really appropriate right in the middle of the crisis?"

Martha had her homework done. She streamlined the entire process to ensure that each segment of the debate gets adequate time for discussion. When she wanted to direct the foreign policy debate to a new topic, she commanded: "Let's move to Iran." The candidates were seated close together with Raddatz around a table; this more intimate format helped her control Biden and Ryan in a better way as to what was done by Lehrer.
Her tremendous job as a moderator was overwhelmingly praised on Twitter!

I liked the part at the end when Martha Raddatz jumped on the table, z-snapped ferociously and shouted "WHO'S THE BOSS NOW, LEHRER?"

Some conservative commentators, however, were not so pleased, check out:
Why does Raddatz want to "move on" when Ryan is getting traction?
