Ever since the first presidential debates were held in Denver people have been wondering about Obama’s lackluster performance. Indeed, before the debates, all signs indicated Obama will sweep the occasion, however, that was not the case. In fact, it was exactly the opposite. While the world ponders and speculates, former Vice President Al Gore seems to have worked out the problem. According to him, President Barack Obama did not perform well because of the altitude!

According to Mr. Gore, a place’s altitude can affect a person’s performance. Romney had been in Denver preparing for the debate while President Obama reached there just hours before the event. Hence he did not have the time to adjust to the altitude of the city and because of that, performed badly.

There may have been reasons for his lack of performance. Altitude was not one of them. For one, Denver is not high enough from sea-level to affect him physically and secondly, if it were, the President and his entourage is ready to deal with everything from coffee spill to a nuclear war. A height of a mere 5820 feet from sea level did not make the President perform badly.

We can safely conclude from his statement then (without any libel) that the President did not perform well because he was HIGH! If anything, we feel, it was Al Gore who was high when he uttered that statement rather than the President!
