1,693 dancers from 44 countries set a new Guinness World Record for the longest Riverdance line of dancers in central Dublin, beating the previous record by over a thousand.
Participants from all walks of life were cheered on by Dubliners lining the quays from the Samuel Beckett Bridge to the Sean O'Casey Bridge.
"Seeing so many dancers from all different ages and different nationalities, and we're very proud to be here representing our country today," says a tourist.
In order to participate, the dancers had to master the basic Riverdance steps and received online tutorials.
Together they shattered the previous record of 652 people dancing in Riverdance line that was set in Nashville, Tennessee.
