So, this is the big question: What does the Vatican have in common with a gay sauna? It seems, nothing more than a building. But with the kind of news that is usually associated with the Vatican and its esteemed members, this bit of information is rather unfortunate! To say the least, that is!

All they did was purchase a €23 million (£21 million) share of an apartment block in Rome and the fact that it houses Europe’s biggest gay sauna...Well what can we say?
76-year-old Cardinal Ivan Dias, the head of the Congregation for Evangelization of Peoples, all set to participate in the election at the Sistine Chapel, has a humble 12-room abode just a floor above the ‘steamy flesh pot’, or should we say , ‘den of sin’.
There are 18 other Vatican apartments in the block, many of which house priests.

No doubt, people have been having a field day at the expense of the Vatican: “’Oops, I took the wrong door, I thought it was the chapel.'…If you can’t go to the gay sauna for fear of being seen what do you do if you have millions of Euros stolen from Italians? You buy the apartment block with the sauna inside.”
There have been rumors galore regarding the Church and Pope Benedict XVI’s decision to quit added fuel to the smoldering fire that the Holy See was affected by outside influences, including a “gay lobby”. So now, their proximity with the gay sauna only cements the woes of the Vatican. We wonder if it will weigh them enough to sink. After all Italy is the land of the “cement shoes!”
