CNN anchor and host of program AC360, Anderson Cooper has been live reporting and covering Israel-Gaza conflict for a couple of days now. Anderson has been live-tweeting the events taking place in the war zone to keep his followers up to date about the event.
However, in many such situations journalists encounter strange situations. Cooper went through a similar experience during his argument with Pamela Weiss (@Pamela_Weiss) on Twitter. The argument was first posted on Reddit. Have a look at the tweets that both of them exchanged.
As to what can be understood from the discussion is that Pamela who describes herself as a travel nut and social media junkie did not bother to have a look at the tweet she was replying to. With a quick overview of her Twitter profile, Anderson got the opportunity to mock her for her specifics by tweeting:
.@pamela_weiss perhaps spend less time tweeting about coconut flan and more time actually following the news— Anderson Cooper (@andersoncooper) November 20, 2012
So, for anyone thinking to teach anchors about their work, it’s important that they have a clear idea of what they need to talk about.
