To be precise, ‘Your Saturday arithmetic lesson from the “Secretary of Explaining Stuff”’ said one of Obama’s tweets.

He also mentioned it verbally during his speeches at Iowa and Florida, saying, “After he spoke, somebody sent out a tweet – they said, you should appoint him secretary of explaining stuff. I like that — secretary of explaining stuff. Although, I have to admit, it didn’t really say “stuff.” I cleaned that up a little bit.”
His reaction to Bill Clinton’s speech at the Democratic National Convention drew over 8,000 retweets. This comment was also a result of a rather cheeky proposal from Ben Greenman, an Editor at New Yorker.

Clinton’s speech during the convention was priceless and managed to effectively give weight to Obama’s credibility and it definitely put more voters in Obama’s corner. No doubt, the speech did wonders for Obama and as USA Today put it, ‘It's almost like Bill Clinton has become another running mate for President Obama.”
Obama’s campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki also cemented the sentiment when she said, "Judging from his amazing speech on Wednesday -- which we knew he would deliver, and the incredible response that was well deserved -- we'd love to have him out there as much as he's available.”
