Famous faces are crucial for presidential campaigns and when it comes to celebrity endorsements, Hillary Clinton is killing it.
The former secretary of state has the support of big names, including Steven Spielberg, Barbra Streisand, Beyonce, Lena Dunham, George Clooney, Katy Perry and Kanye and Kim Kardashian West.
But it’s not just Clinton who’s winning hearts in Hollywood.
As it turns out, Clinton’s one and only Democratic presidential rival Bernie Sanders has an equally big fan following among the entertainment industry’s A-listers.
Mark Ruffalo, for instance, is a die-hard follower who strongly believes Sanders “happens to be the very person we need.”
“He was charming, he was direct, he felt fresh in his answers,” Ruffalo stated in an MSNBC interview once. “I just felt a lot of heart from him. He awoke something in me, and it was his ideas, and it’s his decency, and it’s his record, frankly.”
Comedian Sarah Silverman is another name on the list.
“Where other candidates are getting gigantic sums of money from billionaires in exchange for compromising favors, Bernie is not for sale,” Silverman said to a crowd of 27,000 people at the Los Angeles Sports Arena last August.
