LAMU, Kenya -- Rescue personnel scoured Kenya's coastal waters Monday after a passenger boat collided with a ship carrying oil drums and capsized, killing at least seven people, officials said.
Kenya's Red Cross said 82 people were on the capsized boat. More than a dozen people were missing and feared dead; 48 survived. Fifteen people were admitted to the hospital.
The boat capsized Sunday around 9 p.m. near the resort town of Lamu, which lies on Kenya's Indian Ocean coastline near the border with Somalia.
