Bobak Ferdowsi – NASA’s Mars Curiosity Mission Gives The Internet An Unlikely Heartthrob

While the entire science community was raving about the Curiosity landing on Mars – the internet was going berserk for one Mohawk-ed scientist from NASA called Bobak Ferdowsi. Yes, you read that right.

Bobak Ferdowsi was the flight director on the Mars Sciences Laboratory Curiosity mission and has attracted, well, more than his share of attention for his chiseled good looks and his hairstyle. Yes, you read that right too, for his hairstyle. With a Mohawk, shaven hair dyed red with stars bleached into it, Bobak is a far cry from what scientists were portrayed some time ago. In fact, some have gone on to call him the picture of a scientist today.

He and his hairstyle is also probably the only thing to rival the attention of the internet from the Mars Curiosity mission. According to what Bobak told AP, he changes his hair style differently for every mission.

And in true internet fashion, as soon as Bobak Ferdowsi gained fame, his memes started popping up across the internet.

For those of you are wondering, (sorry ladies!), Bobak Ferdowsi is a taken man.

So Bobak is not only cute to look at, sports a banging cute hair-do and is intelligent but he is also funny.

For his part, Bobak Ferdowsi is very comfortable with the attention and is dealing with it with a tongue-in-cheek manner.
