Anderson Cooper while reporting live from Gaza on Sunday night had a close encounter with a large explosion that went off nearby in the midst of his report.
Cooper without missing a beat, remarked, "That was a rather large explosion" a mere seconds after the explosion. "That was probably the largest explosion that we've heard just in the past, really in the past hour," he added. "There have been a number explosions in the last hour or two."
Cooper instead of panicking and quitting continued to offer information on the situation, without skipping a beat!
One of the YouTuber, while acknowledging Cooper’s reporting, commented on the video:
He's so admirable to keep calm in such a dangerous instance and continue his professionalism right after a near explosion. Cooper has always been a? magnificent journalist and I pray for his safety. (??)
Another comment reads:
It seemed? to take 1.25 seconds from the explosion to the sound, which suggests it was about a quarter-mile away which is indeed pretty close, if anyone is curious.(LurkingGuy)
