One such heroic rescue was reported by a Chinese website, Stokstar.com. It reported that four people fell into a 33 feet deep sinkhole and one of them was a 14-month-old baby girl. She was seen in the arms of her aunt just before that collapse as Stockstar reported.

Rescue workers soon arrived at the scene but the rescue was fraught with difficulty as they had to use a drain pipe to enter the hole and a network of pipes and cables was affected by the collapse which made the rescue really difficult for them.

After working for hours and hours theses brave rescuers were able to safely pull out the baby girl and another person out of the road cave.

Miraculously, the little girl suffered only ‘minor scratches’ as reported by NDTV.

Previously in early August, an ABS-CBN rescue team was able to save residents trapped on the roof of their houses at Roxas District, Quezon City. They had to escape downed power lines to reach the trapped residents. Those who were rescued included a woman and her 2-week-old baby.

In October 2011 rescuers were able to pull a two-week-old baby girl alive from a collapsed apartment block as they battled to find survivors of an earthquake in eastern Turkey that killed more than 400 people and made tens of thousands homeless.

These hard working and heroic life savers really put in their lives at risk for saving others and end up breathing new lives into us!
