More than 2,100 people in central North Carolina remained without power on Sunday morning after powerful storms rolled through on Saturday.
A 50-year-old woman was reported dead after a weekend storm generating winds that hit hurricane speeds tore through North Carolina, according to police statements to local news channels.
Hurricane-strength winds caused a huge under-construction building in the town of Raleigh to topple – just like a house of cards.
Ed Braz, professional wildlife photographer, captured the shocking collapse on camera.

"You could hear the whole house shaking. Everything shook. All the trees came down. Thank God everyone in the neighborhood is okay," a resident told WRAL.com while giving an account of the weather on Saturday.
“Heavy gusts of wind toppled trees large and small across the region Saturday. The News & Observer of Raleigh reports (http://bit.ly/1kwOQ2D ) that one wind gust was recorded at 86 mph near Raleigh-Durham International Airport,” News & Observer stated.
