A student from Franklin Township middle school was arrested following a vicious bus fight video that was posted on Facebook. The fight broke out when one student had taken a seat another wanted.

According to a student who witnessed the fight, a 14-year-old was pushed into his seat, hitting his head against the window. He was then taken to the hospital and received several stitches. The 15-year student who punched him was arrested on charges of battery and disorderly conduct.

The victim’s mother, Lora Hoagland, is furious and wants the expulsion of the boy responsible for hitting her child. Hoagland along with other community members wants to know why it took so long for the adult on the bus to intervene and stop the fight.

District officials in their response said that they are taking all necessary actions that can ensure safety of kids when they are in school buses.
