Support for pot legalization in the United States has considerably increased during the past few years given the fact that it is illegal federally.
According to a recent Field Poll, by a five to four margin (54%-43%) Californian voters back the legalization of marijuana with age and other restrictions that are applicable to alcohol.
The poll result also emphasizes on the fact that this has by far been the highest level of support shown by California ever since the Field Poll began measuring the state’s public opinion in 1969.
A majority of supporters saying yes are under the age group of 65 years. Senior citizens still oppose the reform which proves that the demand for the (legal) availability of pot will increase even more over the next years.
Looks like California is going to be the next state in America which is going to end the prohibition of marijuana and open up pot clubs once the referendum is passed as it has already happened in Colorado and Washington State.
