“This guy’s going backwards on oncoming traffic! Amazing,” a stunned witness says in the background, adding “Only in L.A.”

Footage of an Audi driving backward down a busy road in Los Angeles has gone viral, prompting an LAPD investigation.

The driver of the car veered through the city’s Laurel Canyon neighborhood in reverse for almost two miles. Kevin Zanazanian, the witness who filmed the entire incident on his cell phone, followed the reckless driver from Mulholland Drive toward Sunset Boulevard.

At one point in the video, the Audi even overtakes another vehicle while still driving in reverse.

“This guy’s going backwards on oncoming traffic! Amazing,” a stunned Zanazanian says in the background.

“It definitely was a shocker for me,” Zanazanian told CBS2, claiming there were two people in the car, a man behind the wheel and a woman in the passenger seat.

“It was definitely like a movie and I just think either this individual had an argument or a fight or something or possibly just wanted to be a cool guy,” he added.

LAPD investigators say the driver could be arrested on numerous charges.

“Reckless driving, unsafe speed, crossing double-yellow lines, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway,” LAPD Sgt. Tito Mariano listed among possible charges.

“Imagine if it was you or your family member driving and being struck by someone doing something irresponsible,” the sergeant added.
