Chile Earthquake Shakes TV Newsroom Whilst on Air

The effects of a powerful 6.7 magnitude quake in Chile were captured during a live news broadcast in Chile on Tuesday.

News anchor Cristian Pino was at his desk in Santiago as the studio shook during the earthquake.

In a sign of true professionalism, Mr Pino continues to calmly read the news, albeit gripping the sides of his desk.

There were no reports of significant damage from the earthquake which was felt for almost a minute in Valparaiso and Chile's capital, Santiago.

Authorities ordered a prevention evacuation of a stretch of coastline north of the capital.
