Cleveland Bus Driver Punches Female Passenger After Argument

The online video of a Cleveland, Ohio, bus driver viciously punching a passenger who was bombarding him with an obscenity-laced tirade has gone viral.

The video, first posted on WorldstarHipHop.com is recorded by another passenger, and it depicts a 25-year-old woman loudly berating the bus driver with an expletive-laden dialogue. While initially only responding verbally, the bus driver gets up from behind the wheel after being physically confronted by the woman.

From the video, it is unclear what the woman does, however what is clear is the driver's reaction: a twisting uppercut thrown from below his waist which connects squarely on the jaw of the woman, dropping her to the bus floor. The driver, who has worked for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) for 22 years, then physically throws the woman, followed by her jacket, off the bus.

When the woman scrambles back on the bus, a scuffle ensues, during which the bus driver has both hands around the woman's neck and plants her on her back.

At this point, someone can be heard yelling, "That's a [expletive] female!"

To which the driver responds, "I don't care. She want to be a man, I'm going to treat you like a man."

RTA spokeswoman Mary Shaffer released the following statement regarding the incident: "Upon review, the driver was removed from duty and suspended. We are investigating."
