A waitress employed by Texas Roadhouse in Greeley, Colorado went on a rampage on social media after her customers failed to give her a gratuity after their meal.
Megan Olson was clearly irritated that she failed to receive a tip from her customers when she posted on Twitter, “If we had a real life purge I would kill as many Mexicans as I could in one night #learnhowtotipyouf***ingt**ts,” Fusion reported.
It wasn’t long before Texas Roadhouse customers noticed her racist tweet and started to flood the restaurant with calls, hoping Olson would suffer a consequence for her actions.
Travis Doster, a Texas Roadhouse spokesman, said, “Our managing partner was actually mowing his lawn when he was alerted. He immediately rushed to the restaurant, met with the employee who posted this disgusting tweet, and she was terminated,” according to Denver7.
Olson’s Twitter account has since been deactivated, but the waitress did post a public apology for her insensitive comment on the Texas Roadhouse-Greeley Facebook page.
“I just want to apologize for my racial comments. I don’t have anything against Mexicans they are great people,” Olson wrote. “I wrote hurtful, inconsiderate, insensitive and careless words and I understand the amount of people I have offended by that. There are no excuses for what I have done. I want you all to know that I don’t actually feel this way. If there are any other restaurants that are hiring please let me know.”
It’s absurd that this Colorado waitress apologized on social media then had the courage to inquire about another job when she is clearly bashed by many for her racist remarks.
