Diane Sawyer slurring her words during ABC’s coverage of the 2012 election on Tuesday has caused many to accuse the notable TV anchor of being downright drunk on national television.

On Tuesday night, Diane Sawyer co-hosted the election night coverage. Talking to several TV pundits and politicians about the presidential candidates, Diane Sawyer not only sounded drunk in many people’s estimation, but looked the part, too.

In video from last night’s production, which you can watch to your left, Sawyer often props herself up at her desk with her arms, as if unsure of her own balance. And when talking to guests, Sawyer’s words come out slow and slurred, as if she had far too much to drink before cameras began rolling.

Oddly enough, Sawyer didn’t make any major gaffes on Tuesday night. But for an anchor who’s known so well for her professional demeanor, Diane’s seemingly unprofessional behavior caused both Twitter and Facebook to blow up with questions of what was wrong with Diane Sawyer.
