Now that is what a mother’s love is all about!
49-year-old Connie Feda has a daughter who suffers from Down ’s syndrome. Moved by her daughter’s inability to associate with regular dolls, she created a range of Down syndrome dolls for her!
The idea took hold and then over time spread on to become a line of dolls for other kids like her daughter. She started the Dolls For Downs project and her wish to make her daughter happy turned into a full-time occupation!
Each of her dollshave characteristics typical of those with Down Syndrome such as almond-shaped eyes and a flat nose.
They also come with changeable outfits complete with zippers, velcro, buttons, ties and snaps to help children to develop motor skills.
Her special dolls are priced at $87.50 each and available to pre-order before they hit the market in May.
