Donald Trump unleashed a temper tantrum on Tuesday night after Ted Cruz easily defeated him in the Wisconsin primary.
The business mogul is known for spewing atrocious remarks without thinking of the consequences and apparently, suffering a big loss hit him right in the ego — and vocabulary.
Instead of offering a grudging note of praise like he has done in past losses, Trump’s post-primary statement leveled a barrage of criminal allegations against “lyin’ Ted Cruz.” The statement accused the Texas senator, among other things, of illegally coordinating with Super PACs to support his campaign, though he did not back his comments with any proof.
“ Lyin’ Ted Cruz had the governor of Wisconsin, many conservative talk radio show hosts and the entire party apparatus behind him,” a statement from Trump ’s campaign alleged. “Not only was he propelled by the anti-Trump super PACs spending countless millions of dollars on false advertising against Mr. Trump, but he was coordinating with his own super PACs (which is illegal) who totally control him. Ted Cruz is worse than a puppet — he is a Trojan horse, being used by the party bosses attempting to steal the nomination.”
The blow of defeat seems to have struck Trump quite hard, especially after his aggressive campaigns to win votes in the Badger State and his oft-repeated statement that he would win Wisconsin.
So far the Cruz campaign has not commented on Trump’s allegations involving criminal activities, but, rest assured, the GOP front-runner will not rest until he gets a response from the Texas senator.
