Comedian Bill Maher might now be in a hitch with a challenge he issued to Donald Trump.
On Monday's "Tonight Show With Jay Leno," Maher said he would donate $5 million to the charityof Trump’s choice, if the "Celebrity Apprentice" host could prove that he is not the "spawn of his mother having sex with an orangutan."
The comedian was poking fun at Trump's famous announcementin October that he would donate $5 million to charity if Obama would release his college records.
Trump took the fight to Twitter, where he tweeted:
And now, Trump waits to receive $5million!
Lawyers have sent @billmaher demand notice and necessary documentation.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 9, 2013
In a letter “obtained by Yahoo News”, Trump’s lawyer accepted Maher’s offer on behalf of his client and included a copy of Trump’s birth certificate along with it.
Here’s the original text of the letter:

Mr. Bill Maher

Dear Mr. Maher:
I represent Mr. Donald J. Trump. I write on his behalf to accept your offer (made during the Jay Leno Show on January 7, 2013) that Mr. Trump prove he is not the "spawn of his mother having sex with an orangutan."
Attached hereto is a copy of Mr. Trump's birth certificate, demonstrating that he is the son of Fred Trump, not an orangutan. Please remit the $5 million to Mr. Trump immediately and he will ensure that the money be donated to the following five charities in equal amounts: Hurricane Sandy Victims, The Police Athletic League, The American Cancer Society, The March of Dimes, and The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Scott S. Balber
Trump later tweeted:
The charities I have designated for @billmaher's donations are: Police Athletic League-New York, March of Dimes, Hurricane Sandy victims....— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 9, 2013
Well it doesn’t look like an iron clad proof to us!
Anyways, Maher hasn’t commented on the matter yet but we are anticipating for him to come up with an answer when Real Time on HBO returns January 18th, 2013.
