Being a retired father of six and grandfather of eight doesn’t stop one man from making his life-long dream come true.

Durga Kami has become one of Nepal's oldest students by returning to school and complete his education at the age of 68.

Kami wanted to be a teacher when he was young but couldn’t finish his studies due to poverty. After the death of his wife, he set his goals on making his dream come true.

He studies alongside 14- and 15-year-old students in grade 10. Most of the teachers are younger than him.

"This is my first experience teaching a person who is as senior as my father's age," says one teacher.

His classmates have dubbed him "Baa," which translates to "father" in Nepali.
