Some people take their chips and salsa very seriously. All-out, rage-filled brawling seriously.
A huge fight that erupted at a Mexican restaurant, El Paisano in Dallas, Texas, was recorded on video by Isael Rojas and has racked up 1.7 million views on Facebook.
Apparently, the brawl kicked off because “the chips were $5 and they wanted green salsa instead of red.”
The five-minute clip shows people throwing furniture at one another, pulling each other’s hair and even punching others during the insane food brawl.
Initially, customers sit and go on with their meals, while a man in the background holds back a woman dressed in a black tank top. Another woman in a red shirt runs toward the scene of the fight, as others try to pull her back. The fight escalated quickly as more and more customers got involved. One blonde woman was even dragged on a chair while men around her fought with one another, grabbing each other’s shirts and throwing chairs across the room.
A number of customers who were not involved in the fight managed to leave the restaurant, while others indulging in the brawl split up into smaller groups around the room and began tackling one another on a one-to-one basis.
At the end of it all, a stack of broken furniture was lying in one corner of the restaurant as most people exited the door and made their way toward the their cars. The video ends with some customers still hanging around the restaurant, inspecting damage and seemingly looking for lost items.
