“I’m in the news, sweetheart, I will f---ing sue this place,” McHenry says in the video.

Washington-based ESPN reporter Britt McHenry has landed herself in quite a mess after surveillance footage of her berating a parking attendant surfaced on the Internet.

The video, posted above, depicts the reporter’s angry outburst after her vehicle reportedly got impounded by an Arlington, Virginia-based towing service. The footage shows her relentlessly insulting a parking attendant and threatening to sue the place because she’s “in the news.”

“That’s all you care about, is just taking people’s money,” McHenry said in her minute-long tirade. “With no education, no skill set, just wanted to clarify that.”

She continued to call the poor worker a “college dropout” and even commented on her teeth and appearance.

“I’m on television and you’re in a fucking trailer, honey,” the reporter said before leaving. “Lose some weight, baby girl.”

Shortly after the video was released, ESPN issued a statement and suspended McHenry for one week.

Even though the short duration of the punishment make it seem like she got off pretty easily, the incident has surely affected her public standing.

The reporter took it to Twitter and apologized for the blowup on Thursday evening.

“In an intense and stressful moment, I allowed my emotions to get the best of me and said some insulting and regrettable things,” she wrote. “As frustrated as I was, I should always choose to be respectful and take the high road. I am so sorry for my actions and will learn from this mistake.”
