Abandoned plans to switch the fighter jet for the Royal Navy's new aircraft carriers will cost taxpayers £74m, a public spending watchdog has said.
 
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) was urged to "get a grip" after its eventual decision last May to go back to original Labour plans to acquire the jump-jet version of the US-built F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
