Fire Rages At Dutch Chemical Factory

A fire has broken out at chemical company Chemie-Pack in an industrial zone near the Dutch city of Rotterdam.

Smoke from the fire contains toxic material, but the public environmental authority say that it had not received any complaints so far.

People in the southwest of the province of Zuid-Holland, have been advised to stay indoors and shut their windows, a spokesman for the ministry of security and justice has said.

The billowing smoke has had the most impact on the city of Dordrecht.

The fire has not affected a nearby Shell refinery with wind blowing away from the refinery. "
