Raymond Vincent, a 47-year-old from Florida, was arrested at the airport the moment his flight from Haiti landed in Miami.
Vincent is being held for allegedly impregnating a 10-year-old. He was arrested on a warrant from Ft. Lauderdale Police and booked for sexual battery on a child under 12 and lewd lascivious conduct.
The young girl had complained of stomach pains in February. A medical examination revealed she was pregnant. Vincent fled to Haiti to escape the charges pressed against him. He was expelled from Haiti by the government, and had to come back to U.S.
A police report described the gruesome details of the assault in December or January. The child was sleeping on a couch when she was awakened by Vincent fondling her, according to police. Vincent lingered there for a second before moving on, and pretended to adjust the position of another sleeping child.
The child, who was a family friend of Vincent, ran to the washroom and alerted her mother.
Vincent was a family friend of his victim.
In 2012, Vincent was booked on molestation charges. The child alleged that Vincent had lured her in his home with food and tried to pull her into his lap. Back then, he was acquitted.
Vincent is now being held without bond at the Broward Main Jail on the new sex charges.
