Tricia of WXIX-TV was taken off the air after she referred to openly gay Maddow as ‘such an angry young man' on her Facebook page.
When viewers pointed out that Macke’s comment was inappropriate, the newscaster responded, ‘I am sorry. I should have said antagonistic.’
Even though the original update and subsequent response was deleted, the LGBT advocacy groups were in no mood to forgive Macke until she made an apology. Their demands were finally met when Tricia posted the following status on her profile.
Tricia who was suspended after this incident was finally called back to work after everything got satisfactorily settled.
