Fox News Just Fired Its Only So-Called Liberal Commentator

Fox News exec Bill Shine released a statement saying ‘The Five’ could no longer be held “hostage to one man’s personal issues.”

Fox News, the conservative hate-spewing machinery of inaccurate reporting, just fired its lone liberal commentator.

In an unexpected turn of events, Bob Beckel – co-host of The Five – was booted over “personal issues.”

Beckel has been off the air since March recovering from back surgery, as per Fox News. However, a month later, the channel released a statement saying Beckel had checked into a rehab facility to receive treatment for addiction to prescription pain medication.

Although Fox News initially stated the split was “amicable,” Bill Shine, the channel's executive VP of programming, released a rather scathing statement addressing Beckel’s departure.

“We tried to work with Bob for months, but we couldn’t hold The Five hostage to one man’s personal issues,” Shine said. “He took tremendous advantage of our generosity, empathy and goodwill and we simply came to the end of the road with him.”

A few hours into the announcement, while confirming his exit, Beckel tweeted that the channel’s decision “baffles” him and that he will "respond in the appropriate forum.”

Owing to the general perception that Beckel is a liberal commentator, his audience looked to him for a more balanced and unbiased opinion on political matters.

However, the Fox News host usually disappointed them by sharing the most offensive and disgusting thoughts that even a hard-core conservative would think twice before saying in front of the camera.

Last summer, Beckel caused a stir by dropping the derogatory term word “Chinamen” after stating that the Chinese are the “single biggest threat” to U.S. national security.
