A Darlington man shot on Feb. 19 has been moved out of intensive care at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana State Police reported this morning.

No arrests have been made in the Montgomery County shooting case, police said.

According to Indiana State Police, Christopher A. Rice, 41, of Frankfort was shot with a 20-gauge shotgun at 7771 E. Montgomery County Road 650 North about 4:22 p.m. on Feb. 19. That address is about 20 miles southeast of Lafayette.

Police said the shooting was the result of a confrontation between Rice and an unidentified suspect.

Police have not named the suspect. They said they would not release the name until charges are filed.
