“We were victims of a hate crime last night biking home from dinner. He kept stopping in front of us and swerving into us.”

A gay couple became victims of a road rage attack in Miami, Florida, when a drunk homophobe attacked the couple in a suspected hate crime.

Kevin Seymour, 38, and Kevin Paul Taylor, 49, were riding home after dinner when a man shouted anti-gay slurs at them and yelled “you live in Trump country now.” The man also threatened to ”cut” one of the two men.

Taylor described the incident in a Facebook post soon after the attack.

“We were victims of a hate crime last night biking home from dinner. Luckily it happened right in front of a business with lots of cameras and also there was a witness on the porch that gave a sworn statement to the police,” he said, giving the scooter license plate number. "I think the cops will be able to track him down.”

While quoting the attacker, Taylor wrote, “I bet you f****** voted for that b**** Hillary — well you live in Trump country now."

The assailant at one point struck the rear tire of Seymour’s bike, knocking him to the ground.

“He kept stopping in front of us and swerving into us. Finally Kevin got ahead of him and the guy charges him with his scooter and runs into him and knocks him off his bike,” added Taylor.

Seymour told the man that he would call 911 and report the incident. To that the man said, “If you do that, I’ll cut you up.”

The suspect was described as a white man in his 30s with a southern accent. Police have said that they will check for an image with the help of CCTV cameras. They further added the suspect had rented the scooter from a nearby business.

Soon after the incident, Twitter users rose up in support of the couple and bashed President Donald Trump.
