No, America Doesn’t Need This "Global Rally For Humanity"

A group of people, under the leadership of an “American patriot,” is organizing an event called Global Rally For Humanity – but it’s really not what it sounds like.

Global Rally For Humanity Anti Muslim

An event called Global Rally For Humanity is being planned for Oct. 9 and 10 across the United States. Sounds warm and fuzzy, right?

Don't be fooled.

What its organizers are calling a movement for “humanity” is, in fact, the exact opposite of it. Several protesters, many of them reportedly likely to be armed, will gather outside more than 20 mosques in various cities across the country to encourage others to unite in protest against all Muslims living in America.

The hate-fest has been organized by none other than Jon Ritzheimer – the U.S. veteran who notoriously gathered armed men outside a mosque in Phoenix, Arizona, to organize a “Draw Muhammad” contest in June, and later vowed to arrest lawmakers who endorsed the Iran deal.

Ritzheimer’s antics are becoming routine to the point where people dismiss everything he does as xenophobic garbage. But that should not happen.

It’s because, as much as people would like to believe, he and his “fellow patriots” outside mosques are not lunatics. They know exactly what they are doing – and they are doing it.

Sure, there are not many people who support Global Rally For Humanity. Fewer than 50 have clicked to attend the event. But here’s the thing: The very idea of visiting a place of worship, often with children, with angry demonstrators who hate you standing outside with guns in their hands is downright unsettling.

And no one should have to go through that.
