Representative Michele Bachmann, Republican of Minnesota says she will not run for another term in the U.S. House.

The tea party favorite, who ran for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012, announced her decision on her website.

“My decision was not in any way influenced by any concerns about my being re-elected to Congress,” she said.“If I ran I would again defeat the individual who I defeated last year.”

She has been subjected to an investigation examining allegations of wrongdoing that emerged in the aftermath of her failed bid for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012.

Her announcement does not come as a big loss or even a shock to many, including us.

Why not? Well, here are three reasons why. In her own words!

01: Her Anti Gay Stance:

Quotes from the lady's mouth:

(Gay marriage) is probably the biggest issue that will impact our state and our nation in the last, at least, thirty years. I am not understating that.

If you’re involved in the gay and lesbian lifestyle, it’s bondage. It is personal bondage, personal despair and personal enslavement.”

“Don’t misunderstand. I am not here bashing people who are homosexuals, who are lesbians, who are bisexual, who are transgender. We need to have profound compassion for people who are dealing with the very real issue of sexual dysfunction in their life and sexual identity disorders.”

That's not all! Bachmann saw Melissa Etheridge’s cancer as a teachable moment: “Unfortunately she is now suffering from breast cancer, so keep her in your prayers,” she said. “This may be an opportunity for her now to be open to some spiritual things, now that she is suffering with that physical disease. She is a lesbian.”

Her Absurd Lack of Common Sense!

Carbon dioxide is bad for the environment? Duh!

"Carbon dioxide is portrayed as harmful. But there isn't even one study that can be produced that shows that carbon dioxide is a harmful gas," the lady claims proudly!

She believes God speaks through her husband!

"Never had a tax course in my background, never had a desire for it, but by faith, I was going to be faithful to what I thought God was calling me to do through my husband, and I finished that course of that study."

She does not believe all people are equal!

“Multicultural diversity … sounds wonderful. But guess what? Not all cultures are equal. Not all values are equal. And ... those who are coming into France, which had a beautiful culture, the French culture is actually diminished, it’s going away.”

She Really Does Not Know What Comes Out of Her Mouth!

Michele Bachmann

”A woman (Terri Schiavo) was healthy. There was brain damage, there was no question. But from a health point of view, she was not terminally ill.”

“Lady Liberty and Sarah Palin are lit by the same torch.

“If we took away the minimum wage— if conceivably it was gone — we could potentially virtually wipe out unemployment completely because we would be able to offer jobs at whatever level.”

She thinks visiting Iraq is like visiting the Mall of America!

[T]here’s a commonality with the Mall of America, in that it’s on that proportion. There’s marble everywhere. The other thing I remarked about was there is water everywhere.”
