Police in the eastern Indian state of Bihar arrest a second suspect after a five-year-old girl was allegedly raped, tortured and kept in captivity for 40 hours in Delhi.
The 22 year-old man was a neighbor. Doctors say the girl suffered severe injuries and bruising, including to her neck and genitals but is recovering in hospital.
News of the attack triggered protests across the country.
On Saturday, about 1,000 people gathered to demonstrate outside the police headquarters in New Delhi, where several people tried to break through metal barricades.
Much of the protesters' anger is directed at police, after allegations officers tried to bribe the family of the victim to not file a case.
Protests have continued into Monday.
