Now there's something they didn't expect to find in their attic.

Phil and Barbara Mathies were remodelling their house in Indiana when their contractor discovered something in their attic they weren't expecting -- love letters that are almost 100 years old. The letters were written by Clement Berger to his best gal Mary Borho in 1918 as he prepared to ship out for the First World War.

Phil and Barbara got in touch with Berger's descendants and found a happy ending to the story -- the couple was married in after the war ended in 1919.
