Millions of people across the U.S. Northeast have been stricken by massive storm Sandy, which has killed 40 people in the United States.
Superstorm Sandy and its horrifying story is being widely shared through photos on social media. Whether these photos showcase the aftermath caused by the devilish storm or the boredom of people victimized at home due to it, thanks to Instagram people have been provided with some activity at least!

According to app founderKevin Systrom, around 244,000 photos have been posted to Instagram with the hashtag #sandy; more than 144,000 have been posted under #hurricanesandy and 23,000 photos under #frankenstorm.
Peter Ng and Chris Ackermann, developers from the New York Times and Facebook, respectively, created the site instacane.comduring Hurricane Irene In August 2011 and now this site serves as a landing page for Instagram photos related to Hurricane Sandy.
