A hacking group calling themselves the ZCompany Hacking Crew successfully hacked and hijacked the Linkedin, Facebook and Twitter accounts of Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Silvan Shalom. The group after hacking his social media accounts quickly changed banner photos and fired off several embarrassing tweets.

But, Israel has been fighting off hackers as well, as it has suffered tens of millions of hacker attacks on government websites, banks and private accounts. The nature of these cyber attacks range from deletion of government database or online identity takeovers, like in the case of Shalom.
