Just like other Western countries, Croatia has also seen a rise in far-right sentiments in recent years.

Racism all over the world has taken a spike as another incident comes forward from a European country — Croatia. Oscar winner Jamie Foxx was reportedly a target of racist slur at a restaurant in Dubrovnik.

The actor, who is shooting his new film in Dubrovnik, was at a restaurant when two men aged, 44 and 50, started hurling offensive racial terms at him. Foxx was quick to post videos of the incident on his Instagram which featured the two men addressing him with the derogatory n-word, but both videos were removed after a short while.

"I came to the table and they assaulted us!” read the post.

Police immediately took action and filed disorderly conduct charges against the two men. They further assured the actor the two men will be punished accordingly once investigation into the incident is completed.

Foxx is in Dubrovnik working on his new film “Robin Hood: Origins,” in which he plays Little John.

Following the racist incident, the actor posted a video on Instagram saying he was "mind blown" by the beauty of the city.

However, Foxx has recently been in a similar situation. Not long ago, reports surfaced that the actor was involved in a physical altercation while dining at a restaurant in Los Angeles.

“The word is out, man. I know y'all heard about this s*** and saw some videos. I just want to address what happened on Saturday from my perspective. All I was trying to do was keep my eye on things.”

He continued while joking, "I'm just f***ing with y'all, man. Everybody's good. 2017, we don't want no violence. We don't want to get hurt and we don't want nobody hurt. But if you want to see my whoop some a**, you know what you can do..."
