The world's oldest person, Dina Manfredini, died at a retirement home in Iowaat the age of 115. Dina passed away in a retirement centre in on Monday December 17th 2012.
She claimed the title for just 13 days, after being crowned by Guinness World Records two weeks ago. The title has now passed to a Japanese man, who is just 15 days younger than Manfredini. Jiroemon Kimura celebrated his 115th birthday with family earlier this year. He attributes long life to sunlight and an active mind.
Manfredini and Kimura would've both been six-years-old when the Wright brothers flew the first plane.
