Jon Stewart Bashes GOPs Over Obama Re-Election Fears (VIDEO)

Jon Stewart does it again. In The Daily Show aired on February 22, 2012 he bashed the remaining four Republican GOP presidential candidates. They were debating again on Wednesday in Arizona and that is when Jon Stewart revisited a lot of fears that the Republicans had voiced for Omaba’s election in 2008. Basically, Stewart went on to check how well the fears voiced back in 2008 against Obama had panned out. After all, that would be a decisive factor in his re-election in 2012.

On The Daily Show, Stewart replayed clips from 2008 when GOPs had used ‘Socialist Islamic Dictator’ as a title for Obama. They had implied that all that was standing between America and catastrophe was Obama. Now his term is over and it is only fair to judge how well Obama managed to fulfill the premonitions made by his Republican opponents.

Some said Obama was a ‘Socialist,’ Stewart admitted that of course Obama redistributed billions of taxpayer dollars – but to banks.

Stewart also recalled how four years back Rep. Steve King said that Al Qaeda would be ‘dancing in the streets’ if Obama was elected. Stewart noted how if we replaced ‘dancing’ with ‘dodging of drone missiles,’ then Steve King might have been right.

John McCain gad said that gun rights would be at risk ‘without a doubt’ if Obama were elected? Stewart wondered how Obama passing the legislation to allow concealed weapons to be carried in parks and on Amtrak trains limits those rights.

“It appears Barack Obama has failed to keep many of the campaign promises that his opponents made for him,” Stewart joked.

In the second part of the show Jon Stewart also addresses the Republicans concocting this story about how Obama will destroy the country in his second term. Clearly the predictions or rather premonitions seem outright illogical and baseless. If Obama had to destroy the country why would he wait for the second term to do so?

“Y'all have lost your damn minds.” Is how Stewart ends the show.
