While not a lot of good came out of CNN's botched coverage of the Boston Marathon bombing suspect, who turned out to not exist, we did get this delightful takedown by Jon Stewart.

While not a lot of good came out of CNN's botched coverage of the Boston Marathon bombing suspect, who turned out to not exist, we did get this delightful takedown by Jon Stewart. After needling the self-proclaimed "most trusted name in news" about their description of the suspect as "a dark-skinned male," Stewart moves on to the main course:

"This is why you turn to CNN in a crisis...although we soon learned why this [reporting] was exclusive." [Video clip of an FBI official saying that there was no suspect being held or even identified.] "Oh, it was exclusive, because it was completely f*cking wrong."

Click play if you haven't already. This is why you turn to Jon Stewart in a (media) crisis. The sad thing is that this was the story where CNN did used to be the legitimate king. This hiccup isn't just a one-off, they do this all the time now.
