Toby Sheldon, the man who spent $100,000 in plastic surgeries to look like Justin Bieber, has been found dead in a motel outside of Los Angeles after having been missing for a week.
Drugs were found in the Motel 6 room, but the cause of death has yet to be determined.
The 35-year-old Botched reality TV star – whose real name is Tobias Strebel – made headlines across the world last year when he revealed how he spent a large fortune to satisfy his obsession of looking like his idol, Bieber.
The Canadian pop star himself is widely abhorred outside of his fandom, so when an individual blows a ridiculous amount on money just to look like him, he becomes an even bigger target of ridicule. That's exactly what happened with Sheldon, whose disappearance is not drawing many sympathies.
He was last seen on Tuesday driving around in West Hollywood and was reportedly deeply upset over his breakup with his boyfriend.
"This is very unusual for him to be missing,” his close friend Mel Espinoza told KABC-TV. “He hasn’t done any, not shown up for no reason, no note or anything."
While there are other super fans who have gone under the knife to look like their heroes, Sheldon gets more hatred than usual because despite his massive outlay he has only a minor resemblance with Bieber.
Hence, his critics seem to enjoy even his disappearance, not realizing that there might be a psychological condition this particular individual might be suffering from.
