This tale is of the man who landed in jail for poking his ex on Facebook. Meet Justin Pressler – the man who learned the hard way to let go.
We will not judge either Pressler or his true feelings for his ex girlfriend, but his obsession for he landed him in jail last year for stalking, harassing and burglarizing his ex-girlfriend's home in 2010.
He was sentenced to six months in prison and was given ten years’ probation.
Apparently the punishment wasn’t enough for Pressler as within weeks of coming out of prison the lad was back in trouble when his ex-girlfriend reported that he "poked" her Facebook profile on her birthday.
Yes you read that right, Pressler’s ex-girlfriend notified the police for his ‘Facebook’ poke.
So now, lovelorn-unable-to-move-on Pressler has to wear a tracking device on his ankle for a year and; brace for it; cannot use the Internet, unsupervised, for up to two years.
What it also means is that he cannot use a cell phone with Internet capabilities and also has to give unrestricted access to his phone and computer to his probation officers at any time they wish.
We bet this will make all present and future stalkers think twice about poking their exes on Facebook or following them in any other way on social media. Justin Pressler sure learned the hard way.
