It may have been a family affair. But Prince George's christening at St James's Palace in London still made headlines and bulletins round the world.
Only senior royals and four members of the Middleton family attended the private service in the Chapel Royal. Prince George, who was born on 22nd July had seven godparents among the 22 guests.
After the service, the duchess carried her newly christened son out of the chapel. The guests then left for tea hosted by the Prince of Wales at Clarence House.
And for those who weren't lucky enough to be invited, it didn't stop them from betting about what went on behind closed doors.
It's hoped that news of the royal heir's behavior during the christening will come out in the next few days and in the meantime the bets are already on that it won't be long before Prince George is joined by a little brother or sister.
