The manhunt for 29-year-old low-paid porn star Luka Rocco Magnotta has finally come to an end. The suspected murderer also known as Canadian Psycho was finally arrested by German Police in Berlin.
Luka became the focus of international manhunt after he videotaped the murder of his Chinese boyfriend Jun Lin. He was seized in Helin Tele and Internet Cafe on Karl-Marx-Strasse located in the Neukoelin district.
The café was raided by armed police after he was recognized by a Turkish employee of the café, Kadir Anlyisli. Magnotta was pinned to the floor and was handcuffed without offering any resistance. It is clear that he was using the internet to check the articles posted on different websites about the crime he committed.
According to Anlyisli, he provided Magnotta with a username and password for the computer he was using, and at the same time kept a close eye on him. The arrest of Magnotta marks the end of an international man hunt spanning thousands over miles and involving thousands of police officers from countries located in different continents. Bisexual porn star fled to France on May 26 by disguising himself as a woman.
It is interesting to note here that despite being known for his notorious act Magnotta was easily able to pass through the security checks of Charles de Gaulle airport.
It is also important to mention here that Luka who is also known by the names Eric Clinton Newman and Vladimir Romanov is also behind the distressing video in which two kittens were placed inside an airtight bag and then a vacuum was used to suck out the air.
He will be facing a number of charges including murder, defiling a corpse, using the mail system for delivering 'obscene, indecent, immoral or scurrilous' material.
