A man named Liam bought a woman a drink at The Viper Rooms in the United Kingdom, and weeks later, asked her to return his money to him.

One man ruined his “game” after he asked the woman he bought a drink for earlier this month for his money back.

A man named Liam bought 18-year-old Abby Fenton a drink at The Viper Rooms in the United Kingdom and complimented Fenton on her appearance, The Independent reports.

“I was at the bar and about to get myself a drink when he came over and said, ‘I’ll get that for you, you’re gorgeous and all that,’” Fenton said.

Liam bought the woman a Vodka Coke and the two exchanged numbers before leaving the bar.

Just two weeks later, Fenton received an unexpected text message from him, asking her to transfer his money he used to pay for her drink back into his bank account.

He texted her, “Hi hope u don’t mind love but can you transfer me back $8.65.” Fenton texted back, “Who’s this,” and the man said, “Liam from the vipers room a few weeks ago. I bought yer [sic] a drink? Can I have money back for it. [sic] Will give you sort code and account no. [sic]. Thank.”

Fenton politely responded back saying, “No worries what’s your bank details??”

She stuck to her word and gave Liam his money back.

“I paid him back straight away, even though I wasn’t going to at first, as I thought it was so cheeky, but then I thought he might have needed it,” she said.

Fenton shared her experience on social media as did an employee at The Viper Rooms, and the news quickly went viral.

Dale Chandler, events manager at The Viper Rooms, said, “I saw it on someone’s feed and we thought it was hilarious so we shared it.”

He added and said, “I’m just baffled that this time the guy wasn’t drunk and he texted two weeks later for it, it’s very funny.”

This man needs to step his game up and make sure he can truly afford buying a woman a drink before flirting with her at a bar and embarrassing himself later on.
