The suspect returned to the scene to further fuel the fire with flammable liquid and that's when things went terribly wrong.

The Kentucky police are on the lookout for a man who on Sunday attempted to set a barbershop on fire. In the process, he accidently set himself ablaze.

The incident took place in Madisonville, Kentucky, where two suspects in a white Ford minivan targeted the business. The CCTV footage shows a woman getting out of the car and smashing a window of the building. This is soon followed by a man who emerging out out of the car, carrying a lit Molotov cocktail, an incendiary device with a bottle filled with flammable liquid. He is seen throwing the device toward the front of the building, during which a splash of the burning fluid accidently landed on him.

The man’s left leg goes up in flames and he runs across the parking lot. He then throws himself onto the lawn in an attempt to put out the fire, before disappearing off camera.

Surprisingly, he soon comes back into the scene, with one sneaker off, throwing his sock into the air and running away from it. As evident from the video, the suspect is determined to set the place ablaze, and he once again pulls out a bottle of flammable liquid and sprinkles it into the fire. Parts of the building go up in smoke as the suspects flee the scene.

The vehicle’s number plate has been captured in the video, but is extremely blurred. Police are now requesting anyone who has leads on the suspect to come forward and identify him or provide information.
