The man is suing his wife for fraud and "psychological suffering" after seeing her without makeup the day after their wedding.

According to this man, love is based on looks.

The man is suing his wife for fraud after seeing her without makeup after the big day. The unnamed couple had just married in Algeria and when he woke up the next morning to his barefaced partner – he was so stunted by the appearance, he thought she was stranger!

The groom was so shocked by the difference in her looks that he reportedly thought she was a “thief who came to steal his apartment.”

Upon realizing the woman was indeed his wife – not a stranger – instead of embracing her natural beauty, he is suing her  for fraud and “psychological suffering”, demanding her to pay up over $20,000 for her alleged deceit.

A source told Emirates 27, “He said he was deceived by her as she used to fill up her face with make-up before their marriage.

“He said she looked very beautiful and attractive before their marriage, but when he woke up in the morning and found that she had washed the make-up off her face, he was frightened as he thought she was a thief.”

The man's shallow sexism is revolting in this sorry scenario. For him, love isn't about a lasting partnership, but rather based on appearances. Whether she wore a little too much makeup pre-marriage or not, that's far off from the point. Naturally, people age and their faces change, and a huge part of marriage is growing with that change. Already this husband is starting off on the wrong foot by emotionally unable to handle his wife's "real" appearance.
